Many organisations and individuals representing many countries and campaigns participated in the event, including the Kurds, Greeks, Turks, Palestinians, activists from Bangladesh, Morocco and many others.

The music too had an international flavour.   There was a live band and songs were suing in many languages, including Sindhi.
