WSC SHOWS SOLDIERTY WITH KARACHI RALLY OF SINDH TARQI PASAND PARTY PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 20 January 2010
The World Sindhi Congress (WSC) has issued a statement in solidarity with the rally organised by Sindh Taraqi Pasand Party (STTP on 21st Jan in Karachi. WSC believes that the policies continued since the formation of Pakistan against the social, political, cultural, educational and lingual progress of Sindhi people have manifested in ever-increasing devastation. The Sindhi people and society is crumbling under the sustained usurpation of their rights and resources. The current levels of poverty, lawlessness, unemployment, illiteracy and disease among Sindhi people were unthinkable even just couple of decades ago.

WSC believes that in the situation, it is the most critical duty of all circles of Sindhi society including political organisations, intellectuals, writers, journalists, peasants, students, workers NGOs and civil society organisations to come forward effectively and coordinate to mobilise Sindhi people to get their basic human rights that are being vehemently denied.

WSC reiterates that it would continue to support all the genuine struggles, initiatives and movements of Sindhi people. WSC is also aware of its historical responsibility and would continue to inform the international community about the plight of Sindhi people. WSC wishes STPP a success in their efforts to mobilise Sindhi people for their rights.
