Press Release: World Sindhi Congress (WSC) is deeply shocked at the death of one of the leaders of Jeay Sindh Muthida Mahaz (JSMM), Zulfiqar Kolachi, on 5th March 2011.
He remained missing during 2006-2008 and spent the time in the torture centres of Pakistan. It should be noted that killing of Mr Kolachi and arrests of other party activists seems to be part of a sustained campaign to eliminate the leadership of JSMM. The recent disappearance of Muzaffar Bhutto, Secretary General JSMM, on 27 Feb is one of example that could be cited to support this. Therefore, WSC demands that an international enquiry be set up to investigate the causes of Mr Kolachi’s death and other disappeared political activists.
WSC is profoundly saddened at the death of Zulfiqar Kolachi who worked bravely and tirelessly for the cause of Sindh and Sindhi people. Our thoughts are with the members of his family and his party.
